A+ Environmental Solutions, LLC

Bioaugmentation is the term used to describe the addition to the subsurface of cultured microorganisms that are capable of biodegrading or transforming specific soil and groundwater contaminants. Studies have shown that bioaugmentation is rarely needed at chemically-impacted sites.

In bioremediation, the life cycle of bacteria that consume contaminants is very short. Over a period of weeks to years, thousands of bacteria generations evolve in unique surroundings to consume contaminants in that specialized environment. It is the goal of A+ Environmental Solutions, LLC (AES), to create the ultimate environment where these bacteria can thrive and multiply thousands of times. If bioremediation stalls, bioaugmentation is a tool that can be used to give a fresh start to the process. AES personnel attend conferences, research case studies, and study the latest literature looking for better solutions to chemical impacts. We believe that bioaugmentation technology is evolving, and we will continue to monitor its development.
