Sampling
Sampling conducted by A+ Environmental Solutions, LLC (AES), can provide information about the nature and extent of chemical impacts in various environments. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has developed guidelines for the collection of environmental data at a site so that sampling has a high probability of providing accurate data.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have been developed for the collection and analysis of different types of media (e.g., soil, sediment, water, air) that may be impacted by contamination. Using SOPs, samples are collected and analyzed by certified laboratories. The results are the data needed to create an informed remediation plan.
In order to measure progress toward a cleanup goal, AES follows EPA guidelines for monitoring, sampling, and analysis.
AES specializes in the following types of sampling:
- soil
- groundwater
- soil vapor
- indoor air quality
- beneath building concrete slabs
- river, lake, and ocean underwater sediment
- asbestos
- lead
AES Geoprobe®
The AES Geoprobe® is a cost-effective, mobile, soil and groundwater sampling system. Here, the Geoprobe is mounted on the AES Bobcat T190, collecting samples inside a warehouse building. Unlike other rigs, this unit will also effectively take samples in less-than-stable soil conditions, such as sand, mud, and swamp. It is capable of working in small spaces with overhead clearances as low as 8 feet, i.e., an office building. This Geoprobe can also be powered by a compact, independent hydraulic pump, making the system very portable and capable of fitting through standard doorways. It is ideally suited for worldwide deployment, even to remote working environments requiring aerial/water shipping.
